Today is Black Friday, and without doubt it is one of the biggest shopping days across the UK. In past years Boxing Day was the day when shoppers would hit the stores looking for bargains, but now we’re lucking enough to get the best deals a month before Christmas. Make sure you mark November 25 (Black Friday) and 28 (Cyber Monday) in the diary, because it’s the time that you’re gong to get the best deals out there!
What is Black Friday?
Black Friday is a day when shops drop their prices massively for 24 hours; this in turn gets people to splash quite a bit of cash on their Christmas shopping. Black is added to Friday because it’s seen as the day when shops ‘move in to the black’ – that means they move in to profit and have enough money to cover their costs.
You’ll often see huge queues on Black Friday as people hunt for the knock down items on offer. It’s not only in shops but also online where people go to get discounts, My Voucher Codes is the perfect example of this – it’s one of my go to places on Black Friday.
How can I find the best deals?
Millions of people out there will be hunting for the best bargains, so you need to be prepared and do your research. Everything from clothes to televisions are going to be on sale so you need to make a list of what it is you’re looking for, this will make you get the deals before the competition! I recently read the perfect guide, the black Friday e-book is a must read if you are going to save as much money as possible and get everything you want.
What else do I need to know?
Don’t just get bogged down with Christmas presents because they are not the only things you can pick up on Black Friday. Airlines and holiday websites also join the bargain fun, if you do your homework you might even be able to pick up flights for only a few pounds! If you don’t find everything that you want on Black Friday then don’t worry, just 3 days later you’ll be able to find more on the awesome Cyber Monday.
Have you ever found amazing deals on Black Friday or where are you planning to shop? I’m always keen to hear about your experiences – all you have to do is pop your thoughts, tales and success stories. Best of luck and I hope you get some great bargains guys.
I recently had the amazing opportunity to travel to Antarctica and to experience the most unique place on the entire earth. Antarctica Travel is not something that you might think of normally, but let me try and convince you why it was one of the greatest (if not the greatest) place that I have ever visited in my entire life. Read on to find out more about what has become one of my favourite places to visit.
What I love about Antarctica Travel, is the sense of uniqueness that you feel, the feeling that you are seeing something that very few others have seen before. This makes it one of the best places in the world. It is also crazy to think that it is completely dark there for most of the year and that you are in almost constant light (over twenty hours per day) during the summer months.
It is also a frozen desert, that’s right, it is a desert (not a dessert), because the rainfall is so low that it classifies as one, and because it is so large, it is also the largest desert in the world!
I didn’t include plant life specifically because there is practically none there, the only plants that can actually survive there are things like moss and lichen. Some of these are extremely old and it is amazing to see a total lack of plant life.
The animals to me are extremely fascinating given the environment that they live in. They are not at all shy in a place where there is practically no human exposure. Penguins are the greatest example of this, with their fun loving and curious nature. Aside from the penguins the wildlife is diverse, there are many types of seals, birds and whales.
Another thing to love about Antarctica is ice as far as the eye can see, you are definitely going to need a very good camera to capture some unforgettable scenery. You will also be charging your camera constantly because you will be taking thousands of photos of the endless stretches of the bluest ice possible, gigantic icebergs and looming mountains. You will quite literally be seeing the best thing in your life and then something that will beat it at any given moment while in Antarctica.
The other things
Aside from simply seeing all that Antarctica has to offer, you can also interact with the land and seascapes. I was lucky enough to be on a cruise ship that actually allowed you to step foot on the continent and actually camp there, that was something that I really enjoyed. Also it was amazing to get closer to the sea by kayaking in and around the huge ice formations everywhere. It is very difficult to think about how big icebergs are, until you actually see one in person. It is hard to believe that some of these are bigger than large cities! I could talk all day about the things that I did there and how amazing they are, but I hope that you now have some desire and curiosity to discover this unique land.
Men are still learning to get fashion right and we are not quite at the point of mastery yet, but knowing the right things can help us to lead by example and show others the right way. Here are some tips that will truly help you to improve your style and avoid some common mistakes that no man should make, so read on to find out more.
Dress for the occasion
It is important to match what you are wearing to the situation you are in. For example if you are at a wedding you should wear a tie or bow tie, but don’t wear a suit to a casual date and a movie. It is perfect when you get the level of dress right, rather than being the under or overdressed guy.
Wear a denim shirt
The denim shirt has served men well since the inception of denim itself, this tried and true wardrobe staple is something that you can definitely use to dress up or dress down almost any outfit. My recommendation for denim shirts is of course to never ever wear them with matching jeans, this is just a bad idea and it doesn’t look good. Avoid this at all costs and if you are going for double denim, make sure you choose darker jeans and a lighter denim shirt.
Wear slim clothing
Slim clothing does not need to mean skin hugging tight, but rather a size and cut that fits to your body. In other words, clothes that fit you properly and can accentuate your best features. Women have been doing this well for a very long time! Do not, however, wear things that are too tight, not only are they not comfortable, but they look silly too.
Layer, layer, layer
Layering is a man’s best friend when it comes to creating interesting shapes and visuals with a man’s outfit. Therefore the well dressed man should always be layering to some extent. Layering not only looks good, but it is very practical for all types of weather. If you are too hot, you take a layer off and vice versa.
Match your shoe colour to your belt colour
This is one of the golden rules of mens fashion. If you are wearing black shoes, then you need to wear a black belt. There are no exceptions to this rule, ever!
The Caribbean is a wonderful place for sure, I absolutely love the lifestyle, beaches and weather. There really is no place quite like it in the world, so why not take a family holiday to one of the Caribbean islands? Here is my short guide to some of the best that the Caribbean islands have to offer.
One thing I appreciate about the Caribbean is definitely the culture, there is just a certain laid backness about it that you don’t find anywhere else in the world. The people are much more open, relaxed and less frantic with their time and that’s how it is with island life. Of course if where you lived was so beautiful, wouldn’t you be a bit slower and take some time to take it all in?
Due to the colonial influence of the Caribbean the islands have a very interesting mix of cuisine that I really love. To me the best would have to be Jamaican food, especially with its spicy and extremely tasty dishes. I especially love patties and jerk chicken, but of course when you are in the Caribbean, anything with fish will be a very fresh and flavoursome.
Another thing that I love is of course the most beautiful beaches that exist in this part of the world. The white sand beaches and the turquoise waters are just amazing and no amount of words in a blog post could accurately describe this, but try to picture the best beaches that you have ever seen before in your life.
Islands to visit
Why is it that wherever you go in the world the first topic of conversation always seems to be about the weather? “Hot today isn’t it?”. “Looks like rain again”. Back in the day people always used to rely on television weather presenters or the radio for predictions about that particular days or weeks weather but nowadays things have changed. As we know it is impossible to carry a television around with you to keep up to date with the weather, but what we can certainly carry around with us that fits snugly in our pockets is a smartphone, and the best way to get up to the minute information is through a weather app. But how is the weather actually forecast?
The science behind predicting the weather has improved drastically over the years. During the Second World War, planners found it very difficult to identify enemy positions because the weather would affect the conventional weather radar systems that were available to them. To solve this problem, scientists developed what is called a Doppler weather radar. Doppler systems work by sending radar pulses that detect precipitation, the density of rainfall and how intense that may be, whether it will fall as snow, or hailstones. The pulses can also detect the speed that the precipitation is moving which in turn allows them to calculate how fast a particular storm might be moving and also the height of a particular storm.
The importance of scientists and meteorologists making accurate weather predictions cannot be stressed enough and without doubt has saved many lives in recent years. If mobile applications had been available in 1987 when British weatherman Michael Fish famously (or infamously) predicted there was nothing to worry about an approaching storm, then people would have been able to keep up to date with what became known as the Great Storm of 1987 and prevented many casualties and some fatalities, secured their buildings and saved millions of dollars in damage.
For sure, keeping informed about the weather these days is important and by far the best way to do that is through a smartphone app. So, the next time your friend says to you “Hot today isn’t it?”, or “Looks like rain again”, activate your phone app and you can tell them exactly how hot it is or whether it will rain again!
In todays virtual world of digitized media and press related script, it’s easy to forget that people can actually still write. The power of the printed word can still hold sway and change lives and even regimes (watch CNN and see leaflets being dropped from above in the likes of Tunisia and Libya). Social media is taking over apparently but there are still advantages of the written word.
First of all, people actually pay attention to something that is written down. You cannot just scroll it up or down, left or right, like or share. You actually have to read it! And that’s the thing, paying attention to things is becoming a lost art. Another advantage is that you can target your particular audience. If you have a product, not everybody admittedly wants that item, so selective marketing stop the fact that you are wasting valuable time effort and most importantly money on the wrong customer base.
Secondly, you are introducing specific customers to products that you know they are interested in. Psychologically, it has a personal connection because the customer feels that you are contacting them directly with something they want. And incidentally you are introducing customers to new products that they may not be aware of, so as a marketing strategy it is a win win.
One way to make sure that what you are promising to deliver what you say you are is to use a reliable delivery service, and a package only ever gets to where it needs to be if it is properly addressed and particular services offered by companies for integrated label forms are always worth investigating. They offer safe, secure and economical services to dispatch your products to anywhere you need them to be.
For sure, marketing and advertising are always going to br an integral part of your business however, delivering what you say you can deliver to your customer will either make or break your business.
London is home to a lot of touristy places which boosts their tourism to very high numbers; but there is another side to London – a more quirky, if odd, adventurous side for all the fellows who follow the off the beaten path trail. This is a guide for all those non-conservative adventure lovers.
Mudlarking along the Thames
Mudlarking is an activity which is definitely in the weird category of this post. Mudlarking means digging through the mud searching for treasure and finding junk. It’s odd and probably not one of the touristy ideas you had in mind. Then again, you might find treasure, depending on your luck and patience, you might just want to try.
Speaker’s Corner in Hyde Park
For all those who want to have an interesting afternoon by listening to other people, you can venture to the Speaker’s Corner in Hyde Park where there are people, sometimes wackos really, vent out whatever’s in their mind in that particular moment.
221B Baker Street
Yes, I’m serious. For all of you out there who don’t know what I’m talking about, this is the address of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes. The house has been fashioned to look like the one described in the book and even contains Sherlock’s equally famous chair and pipe.
All of the unique nightlife
If there’s something everyone needs to see in London it’s the unique nightlife. You have everything from top bands to a London strip club. If you’re a music fan then there’s a chance you’ll be able to see a band playing that will be future superstars! Make sure you have plenty of energy because the night never ends and you won’t want it to because you’ll be having such a blast.
There are more odd and interesting places in London that you can go to. However, I’ll save that for another post. For now, try these out first and don’t forget to spread the word and tell me what you think.
Even though summer 2016 is coming to a close, you may be looking forward to summer 2017 already, and if you’re planning on hitting the road for a long distance trip to places that you’ve never seen before, planning in advance will be necessary. Check out the helpful tips below to plan next summer’s trip with ease.
First of all, if you don’t yet have a driving licence, there’s no better time than now to prepare to get one for your upcoming road trip next summer. After all, if you’re planning on going on your road trip alone, you’ll need to know how to drive, and if you’re travelling with friends or family, you should get your licence so that you won’t have to be a passenger the entire time and you can contribute some driving time to get to your destination faster. When preparing to get your driving license, take mock driving theory tests to practice, as that will increase your odds of passing the test the first time you take it.
Next, you’ll need to determine where you want to go. Do you want to take a cross-country trip, or would you rather stay a little more local and make your trip a shorter one? Regardless of where you’re planning on going, you’ll need some great Car Batteries and you’ll need to make repairs in advance to your vehicle and be certain that you give your car a thorough inspection to ensure it will run properly throughout your journey. Get the oil changed, top off the fluids, make sure your air conditioner and wiper blades work, and fill up the tyres.
You should also plan all of your stops in advance so that you’ll know exactly where you need to go and when you need to stop after you hit the road. For example, if you’re planning on being on the road for 24 hours or longer to get to your destination, you may decide to stop at a rest area and sleep in the car or you may decide to stop at a hotel. Either way, knowing where you can stop will ease the anxiety and eliminate the fear of finding a place to go once you’re on the road in an unfamiliar place.
Finally, setting your budget for your road trip is necessary to ensure you’ll be able to do everything that you want to do without breaking the bank. Calculate how much you can spend on food and accommodation along the way, as well as once you arrive at your destination, and give yourself a little extra money, just in case you end up going over your budget. After all, when travelling to new places, you don’t know what local prices will be like.
Once you factor in your costs, route, and car, all you have to do is hit the open road, follow your GPS, and enjoy the scenery as you make your way towards your holiday destination.
Most of the professional gamblers want to get different interesting things about various casinos. Though nowadays, many of them are playing online, the oldest traditional casinos are still quite superb. Since the historic age, casinos had been built up as a revenue source. Some of these oldest casino gaming centres are-
Casino di Venezia
This is a very old casino with its origin mainly in 1638, and this is situated only next to the Venetian canals. If you get into it, you may enjoy traditional architecture of Venice. Besides, the historical facts, related to the place, can also be felt.
It is said that this centre was originally designed only for the privileged class people in Venice. However, after almost hundred years, it became a casino. At present, this casino is giving pleasure to players with different games, like Chemin de Fer. So, enter this casino and feel the historic ambience.
It is also an oldest entertainment unit or a casino gaming centre. It is now run by one of the public corporation, where the government of Monaco has shown its interest. The elaborate gambling unit can be seen in many films of James Bond. It is possibly one of the outstanding structures.
If you have a trip to Germany or a resident of this country, you may have a look at this casino. Established in the year, 1810, this old casino site has classic interior parts and classy setting, which reflects the Greek tradition. Its design is timeless and is still a glorious architecture in the present century. Like any other casino, it also offers the games, like roulette and baccarat. This casino underwent a lot of modifications from the historical time to the present world.
In the UK, this casino was started in the year, 1828, and it was intended only for members. However, it was thought that the betting games were organized in the same place before the establishment. There is also a belief that the present day’s casino has its origin in this venue. The decoration is stylish and majestic to draw clients. There are not only personal rooms, but also the gaming areas for playing with higher stakes. Moreover, some major political resolutions have also been taken in Crockfords. Though there is online casino in UK, you may experience Crockfords.
In Vegas, it is the oldest one. Though its name has been altered several times, the casino is of the ancient period. During the earlier period, the rate of its rooms was about one dollar per day. However, the only adverse point is that AC was not present in casino. If you want to play this time at Golden Gate, you can still get its historic mood.
Thus, these are some old casinos, which are continuously offering a pleasurable experience to the game lovers. With traditional environment, you can play the games comfortably. However, if you want online casinos, there are many sites which can provide useful news about most reliable gaming websites.
It seems like a new craze, but starting a travel blog is something that everyone that goes on holiday should do. Of course everyone does it for different reasons, but the point is that it can be a very rewarding thing to have and something of a hobby, that has a lot of other potential avenues. Here are all the answers to the questions that you have about how to start a travel blog.
The first and main reason for thinking about how to start a travel blog is naturally to document your travels for your friends, family, colleagues and anybody else. It usually starts with this kind of audience and as a way to document a trip. Perhaps you are going to Europe for a few months and you want to keep everyone in the loop about where you are and what you are doing. For me personally, I find it very difficult to go over everything with my family after a long holiday. Of course we talk about it, but it is a great opportunity for them to read it and it gives you something to talk about.
Writing and blogging is also a really great way to preserve your memories of your trip, just like you would with a journal. I have found that in the past I had forgotten some very small details about my trips that I found again when reading over my previous blogs.
Lastly, the opportunities that come with blogging are amazing. There are opportunities for you to make some money as a guest poster on other sites, test new and exciting products and perhaps even get some free accommodation and flights to places around the world. The possibilities are almost endless!
The best time to start a travel blog is right now. You don’t even need to be traveling right now to do it, but it is always a useful thing to have regardless. You can talk about anything you want, it doesn’t even have to be travel. Starting a travel blog is one of those things that many people put off, but they should just take the plunge, it really isn’t expensive at all.
Honestly, you don’t need anything fancy to begin with. I would highly recommend finding a hosting website and getting a domain name and then installing WordPress. It is undoubtedly the best blogging platform around and it is something I use for this blog. The next step is to blog about any and everything you experience. Enjoy!
