Universal Fun for everyone

There is no doubt in my mind that one of the best experiences I had was going to Universal Studios theme park in Orlando with my parents and two younger brothers when I was a kid. It was a truly amazing experience and I will never forget the rides and rollercoasters and the shows. Spectacular! I’m a little bit older now and have kids of my own so it’s only fair that I should bestow on them the same excitement. However, I decided not to go back to Orlando but chose to visit the relatively new theme park opened in 2010 in Singapore. I work in Thailand so it was perfect for me and the kids and the flights there were relatively cheap and only took a couple of hours. When we got there we weren’t disappointed because there were lots of things to do so I will give you a brief rundown of some of the more memorable moments.

Because the kids are young we headed at first for the Sesame Street special effects show. They love Elmo and really liked the Spaghetti Space Race Chase. After that they moved onto the canopy flyer which is an aerial whizz through the treetop canopies based around the Jurassic Park Lost World movie. Other attractions and rides here of note were the Enchanted Airways and Magic Potion Spin.

There was also some really good shows to see and the kids also got to meet some of their  favorite movie characters who you can find walking up and down the streets. As far as the shows are concerned we really enjoyed the 4D Shrek show and the kids got really excited when they saw the minions coming down the road in front of them.

After a pretty long day the only thing on my mind was food and I can say we was literally spoilt for choice. We had already had a pretty hearty breakfast with the Sesame Street gang and for dinner chose to go to the Universal Food Court. This place had a good selection of different types of foods so every taste was catered for and the children really enjoyed it and soon wanted to go back to the hotel to rest for the next day’s adventure. Overall we had an amazing day out at Universal Studios in Singapore and the kids enjoyed it as much as I had when I went to Orlando.
