Mont Blanc

The Tour du Mont Blanc is probably the most fantastic walk on offer in Europe. You can take a 14 day trek around the circuit of Mont Blanc, which is Western Europe’s highest mountain. The sights that you will see are straight out of a documentary, you will climbing over passes, traversing beneath glaciers and walking through beautiful pine meadows. You will be able to see the most picturesque peaks that the Alps has to offer; Mont Blanc, Les Drus, Les Grandes Jorasses and the Aiguille Verte. You’ll need to be fairly fit, the walking is listed as moderate to challenging. It is well worth the visit and one of the best things to do in Europe.

Borneo

If you love diving then you should head off to Borneo for a diving safari. It usually tops the list of the world’s best diving sites, the area was made famous by Jacques Cousteau. Not only will you be able to come face to face with the famous turtles you will also be able to check out Sipadan’s famous reef walls. The reefs can drop off thousands of feet remarkably close to the sure. If you take an 18 day diving safari (similar to the safari I did in Tanzania) you will be able to see the best of Borneo’s dive sites, you will visit the islands of Lankayan, Mabul and Kapalai.

Mongolia

If you want to go off the beaten path and have a true adventure then why not enter the Genghis Khan warrior training in Mongolia? Khan is one of the most famous military leaders of all time, he created the Mongol nation and pretty much conquered most of the world. His warriors were the strongest around during his time. On this course you learn about the tactics used and also learn the following; archery, horse riding, stay in a mongolian camp, wear the warriors outfit, lasso horse and even be part of a shaman ceremony. Sounds amazing!
