Today is Black Friday, and without doubt it is one of the biggest shopping days across the UK. In past years Boxing Day was the day when shoppers would hit the stores looking for bargains, but now we’re lucking enough to get the best deals a month before Christmas. Make sure you mark November 25 (Black Friday) and 28 (Cyber Monday) in the diary, because it’s the time that you’re gong to get the best deals out there!
What is Black Friday?
Black Friday is a day when shops drop their prices massively for 24 hours; this in turn gets people to splash quite a bit of cash on their Christmas shopping. Black is added to Friday because it’s seen as the day when shops ‘move in to the black’ – that means they move in to profit and have enough money to cover their costs.
You’ll often see huge queues on Black Friday as people hunt for the knock down items on offer. It’s not only in shops but also online where people go to get discounts, My Voucher Codes is the perfect example of this – it’s one of my go to places on Black Friday.
How can I find the best deals?
Millions of people out there will be hunting for the best bargains, so you need to be prepared and do your research. Everything from clothes to televisions are going to be on sale so you need to make a list of what it is you’re looking for, this will make you get the deals before the competition! What else do I need to know?
Don’t just get bogged down with Christmas presents because they are not the only things you can pick up on Black Friday. Airlines and holiday websites also join the bargain fun, if you do your homework you might even be able to pick up flights for only a few pounds!
