London is home to a lot of touristy places which boosts their tourism to very high numbers; but there is another side to London – a more quirky, if odd, adventurous side for all the fellows who follow the off the beaten path trail. This is a guide for all those non-conservative adventure lovers.
Mudlarking along the Thames
Mudlarking is an activity which is definitely in the weird category of this post. Mudlarking means digging through the mud searching for treasure and finding junk. It’s odd and probably not one of the touristy ideas you had in mind. Then again, you might find treasure, depending on your luck and patience, you might just want to try.
Speaker’s Corner in Hyde Park
For all those who want to have an interesting afternoon by listening to other people, you can venture to the Speaker’s Corner in Hyde Park where there are people, sometimes wackos really, vent out whatever’s in their mind in that particular moment.
221B Baker Street
Yes, I’m serious. For all of you out there who don’t know what I’m talking about, this is the address of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes. The house has been fashioned to look like the one described in the book and even contains Sherlock’s equally famous chair and pipe.
All of the unique nightlife
If there’s something everyone needs to see in London it’s the unique nightlife. You have everything from top bands to a London strip club. If you’re a music fan then there’s a chance you’ll be able to see a band playing that will be future superstars! Make sure you have plenty of energy because the night never ends and you won’t want it to because you’ll be having such a blast.
There are more odd and interesting places in London that you can go to. However, I’ll save that for another post. For now, try these out first and don’t forget to spread the word and tell me what you think.
