Exploring the amazing sites in Italy

We have all seen the film Gladiator, the epic story of a general turned slave and then finding his freedom by becoming a gladiator in the ancient city of Rome. The Roman empire lasted just over 500 years and stretched around much of the world, but let’s fast forward 2000 years and much of that ancient history can still be found standing around this majestic city of Rome, the capital of Italy. With its splendid buildings and ancient history still visible today; the Theatre of Marcellus, Circus Maximus, Baths of Caracalla and probably the most famous of all, the mighty Colosseum.
